Practice talking about summer vacation in a foreign language

learn a foreign language summer vacationSeptember has come around again and, for the northern hemisphere at least, it marks the end of summer vacation.

That means starting again after a long break, which is why we’ve also decided to start doing something new.

Introducing themed questions

We’re going to start asking themed questions across all the language communities on Fluentli.

We’ll think of common topics that will also be helpful for language learners and ask for everyone who is fluent in the language to chip in and give an answer.

These questions and answers should help because:

[icon name=”icon-star-empty”] We learn vocabulary better in a situation based context than a topical list (fruit names, animal names, etc.).

[icon name=”icon-star-empty”] You’ll notice common grammar structures used to talk about that topic.

[icon name=”icon-star-empty”] You’ll see several possible responses. This should help you be more prepared when you ask someone these questions in a natural setting.

Our first question

We want to hear about your summer vacation!

Below are links to the questions in those language communities.

If you’re learning one of these languages, keep an eye on it to learn how you can talk about summer vacation, as well as pick up on grammar and vocabulary that’s used.

If you speak one of these languages fluently, take a minute to give a quick answer and help those people who are trying to learn your language.
